QUAD CITY CERT OFFERS FREE FEMA TRAINING CLASSES

This 9-week training will give you valuable information on keeping your family safe throughout a disaster. You will learn how to shelter in place, basic safety in your home, what to expect from your local governments, what is expected of you, and much more. Twenty-two hours of training that will last a lifetime! It will also empower you to assist your neighbors and your community if you choose to help if a situation warrants trained CERT members be called out by the Safety Forces for assistance. Classes begin on Saturday, March 24th, at the Independence Fire Station. Class content has been updated since we began this program in 2004. Not one person has ever told us they were sorry they took this series of classes!! For further information and/or to sign up, please call (216) 739-3702. QUAD CITY CERT OFFERS FREE CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASS

Please consider taking our Crowd Control & Traffic Directing class! This class is designed for the average citizen to assist with parking detail at large scale events, "assist" first responders if necessary in a non-critical traffic location and more. The class will be on Sunday, June 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at the Independence Civic Center, Willow Room. Please call (216) 739-3702 to pre-register. Last minute walk-ins are also welcome!
